ArabNet Developer Tournament Beirut: The Details!
BackHello guys!
Hope you’re all excited and prepared for the competition! IT’S LESS THAN 10 DAYS AWAY!
We figured that by this time you probably need more information on how exactly the tournament will go. Here’s what we can tell you guys:
The competition will start at 8:00 am sharp on Saturday, October 13, at Berytech (the one next to St Joseph University - Science and Tech campus). We’ll start with registration and issuing tickets first, and later kick-start the first round at 9:30 am sharp.
The competition will feature four rounds, each testing a different set of skills which, when combined, form the artistry of a developer full of vigor. Here’s a quick summary:
- Round 1: SPEED
The goal of this round is to identify developers who can finish projects in a limited time.
- Round 2: COMPLEXITY
The goal of this round is to identify developers who can come up with robust solutions.
- Round 3: CREATIVITY
The goal of this round is to identify developers who can find creative solutions to problems under pressure.
- Round 4: COMPETENCY
The goal of this round is to identify well-rounded developers.
We’ve also published a detailed schedule of the timing of each round and break.
We probably don’t need to remind you that $5000 await the top 4 competitors, in addition to flight and accommodation to compete at the ArabNet Developer Championship during the ArabNet Digital Summit 2013.
