Barry Newstead Chief Global Development Officer, Wikimedia Foundation

Barry Newstead joined the Wikimedia Foundation in 2010. He leads WMF's efforts to support growth of the Wikimedia projects in the developing world, with a priority focus on India, Brazil and the Arabic-speaking Middle East and North Africa, build mobile and offline products and services that expand the reach of Wikimedia-created knowledge, and facilitates WMF's relationship with affiliated chapters and other organizations around the world. Barry also oversees WMF's communications team and a small research team. Prior to joining WMF, Barry was a Partner with the Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit consulting organization, where he led projects with nonprofit organizations and foundations focused on US education reform, technology-based solutions, social challenges and global development. Barry started his career with the Boston Consulting Group where he spent eight years working in Asia, Europe and North America. Barry did his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and has a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Hatem Dowidar CEO, Vodafone Egypt

Hatem Dowidar the current CEO of Vodafone Egypt S.A.E, enjoys more than 20 years of experience in multinational companies, where he spent 10 years of them in the telecommunications business. Dowidar initially joined Vodafone in 1999 as the CMO of Vodafone Egypt. He was appointed as the Global Director of Consumer Voice Services in Vodafone Group in the HQ for 18 months. After this he became the CEO of Vodafone Malta for two years and in 2007, he returned back to Vodafone Group in England and appointed as CEO of Partner Markets with partnerships covering over 45 markets in five continents. Jad Melki Professor of Journalism and Media Studies, American University of Beirut

Jad Melki, Ph.D. is a journalism and media studies professor, trainer, researcher and consultant and a freelance multimedia and broadcast journalist. He is also the research director of the International Center for Media and the Public Agenda (ICMPA) at the University of Maryland, College Park, a visiting faculty at Johns Hopkins University, USA, and at the Salzburg Academy for Media and Global Change, Austria. Melki is also a media education, media development, and digital journalism training consultant working with various institutions, including the Jordan Media Institute, the Salzburg Global Seminar, and the International College. Khaled Ismail Managing Director, Intel Mobile Communications

Dr. Khaled Ismail is the Founder and CEO of SySDSoft, a company focused on the design of wireless communication system modems. In March 2011, SySDSoft was acquired by Intel making Dr. Khaled Managing Director of Intel Mobile Communications. Ahmad Saad Elkaragy Founder, CEO, IRWAA, LLC

Ahmad Elkaragy is a computer engineer, graduated from Alexandria University, Egypt. Ahmad started his entrepreneurial venture prior to graduating; his graduation project received the Young Innovators Award (YIA) for its idea. He later turned his into a business plan which was ranked among the top 3 in the region in the Arab Technology Business Plan Competition by ASTF. Nakhle El Hage joined MBC Group in 1991 in London as chief sub-editor of news.
