Announcing the launch of Fursa.me: a platform dedicated to interns and internships

Fursa.me, a platform dedicated to interns and internships in the Middle East, launched yesterday with 40 available opportunities already listed.

Fursa is the brainchild of Mohannad Ghashim & Hichame Assi who decided to tackle the niche market of internships that remains underserved in the Middle East. While there is no shortage of recruitment websites in the region, internships represent a cheap alternative for struggling or newly created companies, explained Mohannad, while also giving fresh graduates and unemployed people the chance to kick start their careers. Fursa has already attracted users from over 11 different Arab countries.

Mohannad also stressed that Fursa will seek further to attract newly established companies to list their vacancies on their service. Interns could be very valuable for startups considering their financial state; however they do not have the same appeal as established companies, and this is where fursa comes in.

The service, which is completely free for both companies and individuals looking for an internship, is currently in beta with the full launch expected early next year.
