For the second year in a row, the MENA Games Conference (MEGA) will bring together gamers, developers, and game publishers from across the region and worldwide to reveal the latest trends in the industry, right here in Beirut.

MEGA 2016 will host 800 companies from 17 countries at the Mar Mikhael Train Station on April 7-8, 2016. The lineup includes Ubisoft, KING (Activision Blizzard), Google, Paradox, Apple, Netmarble, Paymentwall, Falafel Games, Wizzo, and Gameguise.

In addition, there will be country pavilions from Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, UAE, and Tunisia.

Over 40 industry leaders are scheduled to conduct talks, panels and workshops, including known industry professionals like Brie Code of Ubisoft, Fawzi Mesmar of KING, and Tomas Harenstam of Paradox Interactive.

MEGA 2016 will also include Q&A sessions, pre-arranged B2B matchmaking meetings for business development and discussion talks on the Arabization of games for local audiences, as well as expansion, investment and overall collaboration opportunities between international and local players.

Get in the Game Now!

For local companies MEGA 2016 is a platform to establish and grow the gaming ecosystem of the region, and benefit from the international participants’ knowledge and expertise to globally expand and develop.

In the absence of accurate or comprehensive data on gaming trends in the region, gaming conferences like MEGA 2016 offer a unique chance to gain insights on the industry. This could be instrumental for international companies  seeking to localize their products for MENA markets.

In parallel, the MENA’s nascent gaming ecosystem will enjoy great networking opportunities and one-on-one talks with international participants that could open doors for them to publish and market their games internationally.

Gamers, Do You Have What It Takes to Win?

The Arabic Game Jam will pit teams of developers, artists, designers, and gamers against each other with the challenge of building an Arabic game in 48 hours!

You can go for the win by trying to make the best game, or simply participate to challenge yourself and learn about new ideas and technologies in an intense, yet informal atmosphere.

The results will be announced at the closing ceremony of MEGA 2016 on April 8.
