The 3rd Arab Bloggers Meeting

By Gino Raidy | October 4, 2011 | Section: Coverage |

The effect of bloggers and social media influencers in the ongoing Arab Spring is unfathomable. The massive Arab online community must now help in laying the foundations for stable and modern democracies in post-revolution nations.

That's why the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Global Voices and Nawaat have brought together more than 100 bloggers from across the MENA region to none other than the catalyst of the Arab Revolts, Tunisia. The October 3-6 event will feature several panels, talks and discussions revolving around digital activism, nation-building and the role of social media in the post-revolt transitional periods.

Stay tuned for more in-depth coverage, analyses and interviews after the event.
