Design the Best Digital Marketing Campaign & Win $5000

The Creative Combat aims to highlight young regional talents in the advertising, communications and media industries. The competition challenges teams of 2-3 to come up with a plan, within 10 days, for an effective digital marketing campaign that addresses a specific creative brief. All teams must include one designer at least, and other members such as a copywriter, developer, digital strategist or marketing professional. Finalists are invited to showcase their campaign plans on stage on March 3rd, during ArabNet Beirut, and the winning team to be awarded $5000.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The competition is open to teams of 2-3 , including one designer at least
  2. Applicants must be 29 years of age or younger
  3. Applicants must be based in the MENA region
  4. The competition is open to students and professionals (freelancers or employed), involved in advertising, media or communications

Round 1: Application

Teams interested in taking part in the Creative Combat Competition should apply using this form. Three finalist teams will be shortlisted to compete, based on their teamwork and campaigns.
The application involves submission of individual resumes for team members. The team is given the option to submit a portfolio and/or a 30-sec video explaining why it should be chosen, while demonstrating creativity and communication skills.

Round 2: Developing the Campaign Plan

The creative brief will be announced on January 30th, giving applicants 10 days to craft their digital campaign plans in a creatively designed fashion.
Here are some examples of deliverables that can be used for your campaign plan:

  1. Plan and design for banner ad campaign
  2. Promotional plan using social media platforms, with visuals
  3. Concept and design for mobile app/game
  4. Storyboard for online video
  5. Plan and designs for email campaign
  6. Plan and designs for microsite, etc...

Based on their campaign plans, three teams will be selected to present on stage at ArabNet Beirut. Two runners-up will also be chosen, who will anyway train in the event that a finalist team forfeits or is disqualified.

Round 3: On-Stage Pitch

The finalists and runners-up get 10 days to fine-tune their campaign plans, pitch and presentation training.
March 3 is the big day! The finalists will pitch their campaign plans at ArabNet Beirut, before the judges panel and conference attendees. Each team gets 5 minutes to present, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
One winning team will be selected live by the judges and awarded $5,000 at the closing ceremony on March 3rd.

Winning Team

In addition to quality training and high-profile exposure, the winning team will be awarded $5,000.


The Creative Combat finalists will be pitching on stage on March 3rd, during ArabNet Beirut. Finalists and runners-up must make sure to be in Beirut on March 1st, for the final round of pitch training.
