What is ArabNet?

ArabNet is the hub for Arab digital professionals and entrepreneurs, creating online and offline platforms for them to connect and learn. The vision of ArabNet is to grow the web and mobile sectors in the region, through various innovative and unique initiatives. It aims to build business bridges across the MENA, stimulate the growth of the Arab knowledge economy, and support the creation of new businesses and job opportunities for the youth.

ArabNet Riyadh

ArabNet is coming to Riyadh on December 12-13-14.
In its fifth edition, the conference aims to continue setting the ground for digital business in Riyadh and the region, drawing in over 1,300 attendees from across the world, eager to connect, network and learn. High-profile international and regional industry leaders will participate in the Forum Track, which includes 35 panels and talks geared towards the future of digital in the region. ArabNet Riyadh also serves as a platform for budding entrepreneurs wishing to present their ideas, startups, and games through ArabNet’s competitions: Ideathon, StartUp Demo, and Battle of the Games.

When will ArabNet Riyadh 2016 take place?

The ArabNet Riyadh 2016 conference will take place in Riyadh, on December 12-13-14.

What is the Ideathon competition?

The Ideathon competition aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at its earliest stage: turning bright ideas into functional products. It runs as a series of rapid back-to-back presentations, were selected entrepreneurs get 2 minutes in the spotlight to showcase their ideas. Winners receive $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000 respectively, as a seed grant to help them kick-start their business, while great ideas receive the attention of investors, incubators, and other developers interested in making the project into reality.

What is the StartUp Demo competition?

The Startup Demo aims to support early-stage startups from across the region and help them grow their businesses. Each selected entrepreneur is allowed 5 minutes on-stage to showcase their product and convince the audience and judges of its strong market potential, effective business model and socio-economic potential impact. Finalists and runners-up receive an exhibition space for the duration of the conference, where they can network with investors, developers, executives, and the media, and build the relationships they need to help them expand their business.

What is the TechFair?

The TechFair is the accompanying exhibition to the ArabNet Riyadh conference, featuring over 50 exhibitors from around the region and the world. Leading companies and promising startups showcase their best, as 1,300+ exclusive attendees mingle, connect and discover the latest trends, applications and technologies.
Access to the TechFair is open solely to ArabNet participants.


What language is the conference conducted in?

ArabNet Riyadh is conducted in English and Arabic.

How can I participate in ArabNet Kuwait 2016?

To participate, you may register online.

Registration Categories

There are 3 registration categories for the event: professional, youth, and student. Participation fee varies according to category.

Professional

Any registrant 30 years of age or above, at the time of the event.

Youth

Any registrant between 22 and 29 years of age, at the time of the event.

Student

Any registrant below 22 years of age, at the time of the event. Students are required to scan and email a copy of their dated student ID, clearly indicating the participant’s student status.

Note: You will be asked to scan and email a copy of your passport when making a payment online. Any registrant completing their payment on-site, rather than online, will be required to pay the full on-site fee regardless of online registration date.

How can I save on attending ArabNet Riyadh 2016?

The cost of attending ArabNet Kuwait increases as the event approaches. The sooner you register and pay, the lower the fees. You may view the rates here.

Early Bird Registration Rates:

Early Bird Registration is open until October 16, 2016.

Regular Rates:

Regular Rate Registration is open from October 17 until November 27, 2016.

Late Bird Rates:

Late Bird Rates will be open from November 28 until December 11, 2016.

On-site Rates:

On December 12-13-14, on-site fees apply to all registrations. Take advantage of reduced rates by registering prior to this date.

Group Rates:

Groups of 5+ people can register together in order to benefit from a 15% discount on their individual participation fees.
Groups of 8+ people can register together in order to benefit from a 20% discount on their individual participation fees.

Can I choose which days of ArabNet Riyadh 2016 to attend?

Registration may include:

  1. Access to all 3 event days, December 12-13-14
  2. Access to Code+Design day alone, December 12
  3. Access to both Forum days, December 13-14

Promo Codes

Promo Codes are unique codes provided by ArabNet, that grant discounted participation fees.

If you are eligible for a discounted participation, you will receive a promo code to be entered into a designated field on the ArabNet registration page. Once you have entered your promocode, the reduced fee you are eligible for will automatically appear on the page.

May I bring a guest to ArabNet Riyadh 2016?

ArabNet Riyadh badges are valid for one person only - the one to have registered and paid in order to attend the event. Unregistered attendees may not attend.

Attendance and Refund Policy

By purchasing an ArabNet Riyadh 2016 pass, you understand and agree that:

The ArabNet team reserves the right to refuse admittance to or remove a person from ArabNet Riyadh 2016, at any time and at its sole discretion, including but not limited to attendees behaving in a disorderly manner or failing to comply with the following terms and conditions:

Soliciting
No solicitation nor selling of items/services is allowed at ArabNet Riyadh 2016. Any attendee conducting such activities will have their badge revoked.

Swapping of Badges
Using the same ArabNet badge to attend ArabNet Riyadh 2016, by more than one delegate is strictly prohibited, whether at the same or during separate times. Both individuals partaking in this activity will be prohibited from re-entering ArabNet Riyadh 2016.

Badge Replacement Policy
Please note that the participating delegate will be issued 1 badge only to attend ArabNet Riyadh 2016. In case of badge loss, you will be required to pay a full participation fee in order to replace it. If your badge is damaged however, we are happy to exchange it with a new one.

Refunds
There is a handling fee of $50 for refunds, regardless of registration categories. ArabNet does not offer returns or refunds for ArabNet Riyadh 2016 post November 14, 2016.
