ArabNet Riyadh is proud to be part of Global Entrepreneurship Week Saudi Arabia 2012, a series of events taking place in both Jeddah and Riyadh.

The second edition of GEW Saudi Arabia will place special emphasis on Saudi entrepreneurs, allowing them to share their experience and stories.

The Entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia conference will highlight the opportunities and challenges that face entrepreneurs in the Kingdom, more specifically in the field of technology.

Under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Labor, the conference will feature speakers from Injaz and Qotuf; Badir Program for Technology Incubators; and Effat University among many others

Additionally, select Saudi entrepreneurs will share their experiences in turning challenges into opportunities.

The entire event will be made available on YouTube so that anyone will be able to “watch what Saudi entrepreneurs are capable of achieving,” according to Tuba Ozlem Terekli, Cofounder and CEO of Qotuf, who will also be present at the event.

The i2 Institute aims to create an innovation environment for business and social entrepreneurship projects for scientists, technologists, and engineers in the Middle East and beyond. The institute will be launched in the course of Global Entrepreneurship Week Saudi Arabia.

The launch will feature a number of speakers from renowned institutions including Pixar and Walt Disney Studios, MIT Media Lab, SABIC Academy, in addition to Dr. Hayat Sindy, Founder and CEO of i2.

ArabNet Riyadh 2012 will gather entrepreneurs, technologists, developers and investors from Saudi Arabia, GCC and the world over 2 days of discussion panels, interviews and exciting competitions. The event’s main language will be Arabic. Real time English translation will also be available.

The event’s activities will be spread over 2 parallel tracks that will tackle the Saudi entrepreneurship ecosystem, marketing for women, m-publishing, the business of blogging, religious & Arabic apps and the stars of YouTube, among many others.
