PAYFORT announced the launch of its online payment platform for the Arab world in a press conference held earlier today during the ArabNet Digital Summit 2013 at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai.

The need for increased trust in online transactional gateways has been voiced by many industry professionals  and is reflected by the high percentage of Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, which constitutes a staggering 70% of the total online transactions.

“While e-commerce has seen impressive adoption gains in the MENA region, the Arab world continues to address present information security challenges with both consumers and retailers demanding simplified, secure payment options,”  said Omar Soudodi, Managing Director of PAYFORT.  “PAYFORT was developed specifically to address these challenges by deploying a secure payment network that is built using the most sophisticated and up-to-date fraud prevention and anti-money laundering technologies and completely eliminating the risks associated with online payments for both buyers and sellers.”

“Today, PAYFORT supports credit/debit card payment through globally recognized payment leaders including American Express, cashU, JCB, Mastercard, and Visa,” Soudodi added.

PAYORT makes online payments safe and secure for buyers and sellers in the Arab world by delivering a complete suite of payment solutions that cater to the needs and online buying habits of the region. Through its cost effective online payment processing solutions, private and public sector organizations will be able to quickly launch online payments to end-users and offer streamlined services faster and with increased revenue opportunities.
