Established in 1964, the Central Bank of Jordan's main duties include the release and distribution of hte Jordanian currency and the maitenance of a national reserve of gold and foreign currencies. Earlier this year, the Central Bank of Jordan announced that it plans to set up a series of multi-million dinar development funds to stimulate the economy and help out startups and small businesses.
