Game Power 7, a leading publisher and the first fully Arab company to develop Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games (back in 2007) — has just announced the release of its latest game, an online multiplayer first person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world called Adrenaline. The company released a series of acclaimed games, including the first ever MMORPG in the region under the name Arabic Rappelz. It achieved fame again in 2008 when one of its creations, أمل الشعوب , became the first Arabic game to reach one million users.

As its name suggest, Adrenaline is a fast paced action packed shoot ‘em up game set in a dystopian future where what’s left of the human race fights for its survival. Years of nuclear war has reduced human civilization into warring factions. Your job is to defend your city making use of an array of weapons, power ups - such as stealth mode, the ability to fly, improved maneuvering - tactics and strategies.

There are 10 modes to choose from, such as sniper, commando and, our favorite, a clever Sci-Fi twist, zombie mode. The game also contains different maps, including one inspired by Pharaonic Egypt, an industrial complex, a thermal plant, and so on. Each map has different characteristics which in turn makes certain fighting styles more effective. For instance, the industrial complex features a lot of roads and tunnels, which puts medium range machine gun users at an advantage. It’s up to you to figure out and adapt to your surroundings to improve your game. Be water my friend.

In addition to guns and ammo, you will be able to equip your character with protective helmets, shields, and other perks from the warehouse.

The game had been tested thoroughly both in private and public beta periods. The company has worked on incorporating many elements based on the feedback it got. That includes additional weapons and bigger maps. The sniper mode and the map containing pyramids are two examples. The current final version is also witness to major improvements in speed and reduced lag in game play.

Game Power 7 has also promised a number of updates that include new maps, arms, and grenades in future releases of the game. The company also hints at the fact that these updates won’t be large in size, claiming that it managed to squeeze all the changes and additions from the trial to the final release version into just about 30 megabytes of data. Oh and did we mention that the game is free.

Game Power 7 is based in Dubai, UAE. It has offices in three different Arab countries. The company has built a state-of-the-art game localization and culturalization facility which provides global game developers with value-added game publishing services which fits with the values and nature of the Arabic youth audience.
