We were quite intrigued by Motorola's Moto X. The mobile giant decided to skimp on some attributes, namely the pixel density, in order to gain advantages in other places: battery life.

The Verge ran a story, shown below, in which they spoke with Moto X's designers and addressed the philosophy behind their decisions to reduce pixel density. For them it seems, the benefits of a longer battery life far outweighed the necessities of 'too many' pixels.

But did Motorola make the right compromise? We're not so sure. Based on our last poll, where we asked you whether you thought high-end phones should have the highest end specs—remember, the Moto X is priced as a high-end device—and it seems that three thirds of respondents disagree.
