Apple just announced their new iPad with some incredible new features, mainly right now: Retina display (which was kind of obvious). The new display has a 2048 x 1536 resolution screen.
The new iPad keeps the same size (9.7 inch) but now comes with over 3 million pixels, which results in 264ppi pixel density.
New Apple's iPad display has 44 greater color saturation than the old 1024 x 768 display.
